  • A short intro about the organization:

Swarovski is a Wonderlab where magic and science meet.

Swarovski unifies all parts of our organization under one spellbinding idea and brings forward a wondrous new world of crystal craftsmanship. Founded in 1895 in Austria, we design, manufacture, and sell the world’s highest quality crystal, genuine gemstones, Swarovski Created Diamonds and zirconia, jewelry and accessories, as well as crystal objects and home accessories.

At Swarovski, we believe that our colleagues should feel able to bring their full selves to work every day. As a business committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, we have a responsibility to do all that we can to eliminate social injustice and prejudice. By celebrating our differences and harnessing the combined power of many diverse perspectives, we can push our business to achieve so much more.

  • What was the motivation to join Workplace Pride:

As part of our ongoing celebration of the LGBT+ community throughout the year (not only in June!), we are proud to become a new member of Workplace Pride. Our partnership will help us to ensure that we can work towards our commitments to celebrating & elevating the LGBT+ community. We will cooperate to ensure that we meet and exceed the UN Global LGBT+ Standards of Conduct for Business which we recently signed.

  • Which of the programs and services are you most excited about:

We are looking forward to the Workplace Pride Global Benchmarking which will allow us to better evaluate the effectiveness of our LGBT+ policies and practices.

  • Where do you stand on your LGBTIQ+ journey:

On our ongoing EDI journey, we want to ensure the safety and security of all employees. To achieve this, we will be inviting employees to include pronouns in workplace correspondence and our HR data system alongside sharing gender identity if desired. We commit to celebrating & elevating the LGBT+ community, both internally & externally. Internally we commit to education and awareness opportunities for our employees including workshops on gender competencies and trans awareness. In June 2021, we hosted Trans Awareness Training in partnership with Transgender Network Switzerland and released guidelines on how to be an ally for the LGBT+ community.

  • What are your key areas of focus in the coming period:

To celebrate Pride all year long, in October we will have an internal event with panelists- members and allies of the LGBT+ community, including senior leaders.

Going forward, we are increasing the portfolio of eLearning opportunities, covering topics of unconscious bias, micro-inequities, and allyship..
